As we all know, this month’s workouts equal next month’s body, but hitting the gym three times a week can get a little boring on occasion. If you’re yawning at the thought of your next workout, why not stir things up a bit and try a class?
As part of this blog, we are going to take a look at some of the most popular, unusual and kick-ass classes out there at the moment. First up is an absolute corker – Body Combat.
Body Combat is defined as a “high-energy martial arts-inspired workout that is totally non-contact”. Taking inspiration and moves from Karate, Taekwondo, Boxing, Muay Thai, Capoeira and Kung Fu, participants can burn around 770 calories in one high-impact hour long class whilst relieving stress and having fun.

The moves are choreographed so it can be intimidating at first, but the people that go every week end up knowing the sequences better than the teachers!
