Four shows in one

ZAAZEE back at EventCity in 2016

Last week we returned to the popular Swim, Bike, Run & Tri Expo in Manchester at Event City to make it back-to-back events. We loved the 2015 edition and were excited to build on a successful year. This time we had our biggest space, thanks in part to a cancellation and were determined to make the most of it.

The Expo would be the first opportunity to showcase our brand new ZOEY full-length long leggings – on the back of success with our 3/4 length capris. Customers were able to see and try on our newly-arrived leggings, coinciding with their availability the following week online.

Over the three-day event we met people from across the North West, the Lake District, Lancaster, Stoke, North Wales, The Pennines as well those making the short journey from Greater Manchester. It was awesome, lots of new people still to meet ZAAZEE for the first time time!

We were on hand to chat about all things fitness-related and we’ve been exploring the possibility of featuring larger sizes of leggings, so watch this space! We appreciate all feedback on our products. These shows are a great opportunity to talk to and work with real women who do what we do.

Also situated in the triathlon section was David Lloyd Manchester (our local gym) who we’ve been working with recently and they had put on some exciting new Sprint classes and Les Mills RPM. We could feel the energy from the classes – we even had a go ourselves.

The beauty of these events is you can get close up first hand to some amazing sporting celebrities and people in the industry who share your passion for sport. We spoke to Louise Minchin, BBC presenter and keen triathlete, she did a talk on the importance of working closely with a trainer to get in fighting shape for events. She was also a huge fan of our black/white Eszter capris.

In addition, former Olympic swimmer Mark Foster was part of the scheduled events and we were thankful he visited our stand! I saw him swim while volunteering at the FINA Swim Champs in 2008, also in Manchester. Mark came across to the ZAAZEE stand and we chatted about working with media / sport, he was interested in the brand’s story.

In addition, I was also lucky enough to meet running legend Steve Cram, another amazing athlete who I watched growing up. We are hoping to get back in touch with him at a later date.

We had such a blast in 2016 and if we missed you at this year’s event then please get in touch, we’d love to tell you our story and show you our incredible brand.
